All students in North Carolina are eligible for the Opportunity Scholarship. This program sends funds directly to private schools on behalf of students to pay tuition and fees. Although it’s been around for years, it has been greatly expanded for the 2024-25 school year. We encourage every family to apply.

North Carolina’s Education Student Accounts (ESA+) program is available to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Funds may be used to pay tuition and fees for eligible private schools, and for expenses such as speech therapy, tutoring services, and educational technology.
Please note: an eligibility determination issued by a North Carolina public school is required as part of the application process. https://www.ncseaa.edu/esa-interested/
The application window is open every year on February 1. At that time, families apply and upload their evidence of eligibility.

At Brookside we feel it is part of our mission to serve as many students as possible. We also want to serve every student well. In some cases, we are unable to serve students with a specific need. It is a very specific, case-by-case process.
