Application and Enrollment Process

Families are encouraged to inquire early and research all that Brookside has to offer their child. School choice is an important decision in the life of every child. Our website is constantly revised to provide the most updated, thorough presentation of life at BCA.

  • If a family is interested in the possibility of enrolling their child at Brookside, the first step is to contact the school to inform us of your interest. The most efficient means of doing this is through the Admissions Inquiry page of our website. This initiates a short form and contacts our recruiting staff with your information.

  • BCA holds Family Interviews and tours every January for the following school year. If families express an interest prior to January, their information is recorded and they will be contacted again in January to schedule their interview. If they inquire after January, appointments are made on a revolving basis until September.

  • We encourage all families to research the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ programs from NCSEAA. The application window for these programs opens in February of every year. Applying for these scholarships does not obligate them to attend Brookside or even accept the scholarship at all.

  • After the Family Interview, families are asked to submit any supporting documentation such as previous report cards, test scores, attendance reports, and IEPs (if applicable). These documents are required to be submitted BEFORE an acceptance decision is made.

  • Families can submit the application and application fee of $250 at the time of the family interview to hold their seat for 30 days while they gather the required documents. Or, they can wait and submit it when they’ve determined BCA is the best place for their child.

  • Acceptance determination is made in February for those interviewing and submitting all documents in January. For those completing the process later in the year, decisions are made on a revolving basis, typically less than 30 days following the interview.

  • Once accepted, families have time to submit any remaining documents. Students are entered into our Praxi system and families will begin to receive email announcements alerting them to upcoming events or deadlines.

  • The Instructional Supply Fee is due by July 30th. Families must also meet with Crystal Puryear during the month of July to sign their Financial Agreement.
