Our Mission and Vision
It is our priority to provide an academically rigorous, Christian-based education. We are fueled by the desire to give outstanding instruction centered on innovative curriculum. We strive to build students’ critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity in a learning community that promotes love, compassion, confidence, and preparedness.
Our roots
The idea behind Brookside Christian Academy came from two local educators: Betsy Dean and Cortney Gordon. Dean and Gordon worked in public education for years and have a love for watching learning come to life in the eyes of their students. Their goal was to take the best elements from public, private, and home schools and combine them to create a unique setting where students thrive and find joy in learning. BCA has become a peaceful refuge in the lives of students, families, and even staff.
Our growth
In the fall of 2020 we opened our doors for the first school year at Brookside. We prayed for 35 students but 58 enrolled. In the midst of Covid and other challenges, we saw our students thriving and enjoying their school experience.
In the fall of 2021, we began our year with 112 students. This rapid expansion caused us to split our students between three campuses. All students receive the same individualized instruction, hands-on learning, and interactive classroom experiences no matter where they attend.
our future
Even now we are praying about where the next steps of growth will take us. We are seeking land with the intention of building one large, beautiful facility where we can be in one place together. We plan to remain in the Dunn-Benson area. Please pray with us as this plan develops over the next year.
