Our Mission and Vision
It is our priority to provide an academically rigorous, Christian-based education. We are fueled by the desire to give outstanding instruction centered on innovative curriculum. We strive to build students’ critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity in a learning community that promotes love, compassion, confidence, and preparedness.
The idea behind Brookside Christian Academy came from two local educators: Betsy Dean and Cortney Gordon. Dean and Gordon have worked in education for a combined 3 decades and have a love for watching learning come to life in the eyes of their students.
In addition to camps, Brookside Christian Academy also offers a wide range of tutoring that spans from early literacy and math skills to specialized middle and high school level subjects. We believe every student is different and has their own unique set of gifts and talents. There is no one-size-fits-all program for every child. Our Vertical Training Plan is tailored to the needs and interests of each learner and comes with recommendations for at-home practice, as well as, quarterly data reports for families. We don’t just want to fill in the gaps for students, we want them to surpass the expected levels of academic growth so their confidence grows as well.
In the fall of 2019, Brookside Christian Academy will welcome the homeschool community for enrichment events in various subject areas. Creative writing workshops, teacher-guided art classes, hands-on science lab experiences, are just a few of the offerings that will be available to area homeschool families.
