Join us for summer camp at our campus in Dunn, NC. Our Summers at Brookside half-day camps offer something for scientific and creative minds between the ages of rising first graders and rising sixth graders. These day-camp programs offer a variety of activities including archaeology, engineering, biosphere construction, and more.
All camp sessions are Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. All sessions are $150 per week for each student and include all necessary materials and a snack. Seats are limited to 25 students per session. Students must be rising first graders through rising sixth graders. See dates and descriptions below.
Exception: The Science of the Bible, held July 1-3 is only three days and is $100.
Please include a non-refundable $25 registration fee per student for each session. You will receive an email confirmation that your child has a reserved seat in the desired session(s). More detailed information will be sent about specific sessions in May. This will include medical and emergency contact forms, balance and payment information. All balances must be paid in full by June 1, to guarantee your child’s seat.

Digging up History

Have you ever wondered what secrets lie beneath the ground where you stand? Travel back in time 4,000 years to dig up the history of ancient Egypt. Unearth something mysterious by excavating layers of history in a real simulated archaeological dig. Work with a team of historical detectives to uncover Egyptian mysteries, break hieroglyphic codes, and build a modern day museum exhibit from your artifacts.

Do you want to amaze your friends by creating a mesmerizing lava lamp lip gloss? Can you explain the science behind magnetic mermaid slime? Have you ever eaten a geode? Join us to create magical experiments and discover the science behind these and other crafty chemistry creations.

Could you create an extreme roller coaster using only cardboard, masking tape, and the laws of physics? How can five building materials be used with force and motion to construct a carnival game that can pop a balloon? Join us to put your engineering and innovation to the test as we create the ultimate STEM carnival!

Is the Leaning Tower of Pisa really falling? Could Stonehenge survive hurricane force winds? Is there a better design for the Egyptian pyramids? Tackle these and other problems as you work with a team of engineers to brainstorm, build, test, evaluate, and redesign through hands-on, open-ended global landmark challenges.
